This limited edition (3000 only) box set is the definitive Camper Van Beethoven collection featuring 4 previously released albums Telephone Free Landslide Victory; II & III; CVB and Camper Vantiquities, plus 1 CD of CVB Live. The band's proto indie sound drew together elements of ska, country, tex-mex, 60’s psychedelia and folk, aptly described by the band themselves as "surrealist absurdist folk", who quickly gained a reputation for their bizarre folk versions of hardcore songs. Frontman Lowery went on to form Cracker. Other members have gone on to perform with the likes of Counting Crows, Sparklehorse, Jane’s Addiction and Natalie Merchant.
